The Mind Map Archive
06/27/2023
The Mind Map Archive will be a curated 300 page, full color, ebook, based on a series of over 3,000 visual and verbal compositions completed between 2010-2020. Currently arranged on 8.5 x 11” Xerox paper, located in sheet protectors and housed in office binders, the subject matter is a ten-year social science project rooted in art and mental health. The book will explain my journey of self-discovery through a unique method of visual storytelling, including text accompaniment.
With your help, I will be able to afford the time to complete the Mind Map Archive by analyzing the entries for common threads, patterns and themes. The knowledge I gather from the research phase of this project will also go directly back into my creative communities, through newly constructed lesson plans, community-driven projects and individual art projects. Developing this book will further help to establish myself as a human resource of trauma-informed, creative healing practices, as I seek to collaborate with like minds and organizations. My dream is to bring accessible tools and alternative practices to a wide range of age groups and demographics to bolster our human connections through holistic self acceptance.
