👋🏽 Meg here! My journey in woodworking began with a deep appreciation for tactile, functional art, and has evolved into a diverse and ever-expanding craft over the past eight years.

What started with a few furniture-building classes in Santa Cruz, CA, has grown into owning and operating my own small furniture business. This hands-on experience has allowed me to explore the intricacies of handcrafted woodwork, from furniture making to, more recently, the captivating art of boat building.

Now based in Portland, OR, I teach “Woodworking for Women, Femmes & Thems” alongside my dear friend Gabriella through . I also facilitate skin-on-frame canoe building workshops on the coast, sharing my passion for this unique craft.

Additionally, after building out my own van, I’ve taken on numerous van customization projects, combining my love for custom cuts, problem-solving, and the nomadic lifestyle that resonates deeply with me.

Whet Studio is currently seeking two additional members to join our small community woodshop. See previous posts for more info.
