Combining elements of live TV broadcasting, a music recording studio, and a live music venue we provide a safe space for musicians to perform and interact with at-home audiences using social media and conferencing technology. We set out to create a safe studio environment where musicians could come play and live-stream to an audience in quarantine at home. Safety is a primary concern, and we follo
w a strict policy created by our Disease Transmission and Infection Control Specialist. Our live music streams make for great viewing with multi-camera live switching, crystal clear studio quality sound, actively designed concert lighting, and responsive projection screen background. Add to that, social media and video conferencing, and what you get is an entirely new live music experience. Interaction is a primary focus. The band-audience feedback loop of energy is what makes live music so special, and we are constantly experimenting with new ways of re-creating it. We’ve integrated multiple ways to bring viewers together, and engage with musicians and each other, virtually, and in real-time. What we've built is a totally unique experience and takes live streaming to the next level. We launched with zero capital,
from an empty warehouse, with a volunteer crew, using their own equipment. Our only revenue stream has come from voluntary contributions by the viewing audience. The proceeds cover expenses and is distributed between everyone involved. Needless to say, nobody is getting rich. But we love what we do, and we believe what we’re doing has a future. Community response has been amazing. Musicians sometimes haven’t played together in months. Fans gush, seeing their favorite local bands playing live again. It feels new and different, yet normal and familiar. The most rewarding part comes once the band finishes playing and, buzzing with energy, they realize just how much they've missed it. Their gratitude is sincere.
