What does the Bible say about leadership?

Leadership is a term that includes many different perspectives and expectations. In fact, there are literally hundreds of definitions of the word. We hear leaders are necessary, even in our Churches and Christian organizations, and yet we occasionally see examples of leaders that don’t seem to match the expectations we see throughout the Bible. So, what are God’s expectations of leaders? Does God have a plan to form leaders and use them to accomplish His purposes for humanity?

We cover aspects of God’s character as the model for what our character should be and how God uses our circumstances to shape our character to be more like His.
