My dear Readers: I’ve made a decision to go on sabbatical from all things public and social media for a while... in order to protect my creative mind, heart, and soul. While I’m away, I’m giddy about focusing exclusively on my writing process and the joy it brings me, all while competing the final book in my TradeMagic series!
“Experts” say we authors need to post regularly ... market our books ... connect at personal levels... and to engage with followers ... offer sales ... write newsletters ... get on podcasts... ..but I’ve gotta be real: that whole scene is not for this writer.
I’m a very private, introverted person. Since self publishing the first two TradeMagic books, I’ve learned that my creativity needs space. Dare I even say isolation? “Authorly” things like promoting and making oneself visible to the world with “Hey look at me, I’ve written books” may seem exciting to others ... but for me, it completely separates me from my creative core and my book creation. Privacy is my magic ingredient for me to enjoy life as a creative and showing up best for my stories.
It’s time I honor the Writer I am and do for her what she wants and needs.
Readers, I hope you keep following me here on IG and FB anyway. I’ve got years of posts loaded with info about the TradeMagic world and me as its author. Please scroll through the months and check things out! You can also join my email at my website, where there’s more information about me and my books at your fingertips.
I’ll send updates about Book 3 news when that time comes! You can count on me to return... when both I and Book 3 are getting ready to step out into the world again.
