I met Don in 2016 after he got the news from his doctor that he would soon need to start taking medication to lower his blood pressure (it was 149/98). He committed to taking class with me 3x/week and never looked back. Fast forward to his check up in 2021 and his blood pressure is down to 119/69. He also went from 240lbs to 158lbs. He never took the medication.
Don is moving across country this week so I’m bummed we won’t be working together anymore but I’m so happy that he has the confidence and knowledge to continue his journey 🥳 A little hard work and consistency goes a long way.

SFG2 is no joke but I wouldn’t trade the sweat and tears for anything. Love my StrongFirst fam 🖤🤍
Why does training strengthen your mind?

Yesterday I started jumping rope for the first time in about 10 years, mostly to help increase my cardio in preparation for the sn**ch test in September. Like pretty much everything else I’ve tried in the gym, it was challenging. This is where mental strength comes in.

Yes it’s important to keep trying but possibly even more important is to be humble enough to admit when something is currently out of reach. There is no fake it till you make it, you must practice until you make it and ask for help along the way. Thank you for shortening the rope.
