Hi everyone♥️With the day after a soul healing, hope igniting musical lineup at the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day later this week, I wanted to share some love and appreciation. I took some quick self-portraits in between mini sessions recently, and the sun was shining right through the studio window onto the wall. I set up my camera (with a pantyhose filter for some dreamy haze), sat down and just stared into the blinding sun and it was actually a really wonderful and unexpected moment of peace and calm. ☮️🎀

The last two photos are from my kids: my son is 5 and made me this “I love you” heart at school, and my 3-year-old daughter made a sweet little valentines handprint dinosaur at preschool. These are now the things I cherish more than anything else in the world (and their little faces when they give them to me). As a parent, I’m reminded that love really is the resistance, and it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. I will take all of the cheesy hallmark valentines sentiments right now if it means we can celebrate and advocate for more love than ever before, in all of its beautiful forms.💘

I’ve been really inspired lately with the outpouring of community and people showing up, speaking out, dedicating time and resources to create meaningful change.

I am a photographer and I will not leave politics out of my work.

Art has always been political. It feels impossible to separate my values from my photography, it’s simply all connected. My business is based on the unwavering belief that everyone deserves love, respect, equity, the right to marry, and the right to live, work, and thrive exactly as you are - without fear - in a welcoming and safe community.

I stand against ICE, the current administration, and the horrific injustices taking place across the nation. I will continue to advocate and stand up for marginalized groups and victims of the violence and hatred we are witnessing every single day.

Community engagement is more essential than ever right now. I still believe in the power of love, connection, community and art. And I am so grateful for a supportive community and incredible clients.

I am still rooting for folks doing beautiful things: sharing their time, art, or services that bring so much value to their communities and to the world. I will never stop celebrating these radical acts of compassion - protest in and of itself.
