Governor Tina Kotek today joined state leaders, physicians, and health care advocates to celebrate the signing of legislation that protects and expands access to reproductive health care, gender-affirming health care, and preventive services at a time when federal actions threaten essential medical protections in Oregon.

La gobernadora Tina Kotek se unió hoy a líderes estatales, médicos y defensores del cuidado de la salud para celebrar la firma de legislación que protege y amplía el acceso al cuidado de la salud reproductiva, al cuidado de afirmación de género y a los servicios preventivos, en un momento en que las acciones federales amenazan protecciones médicas esenciales en Oregon.

A number of City bureaus have proposed cuts to janitorial services due to the tough financial situation. The City held a budget listening session in each of the four districts. Maria Flores, a member of SEIU 49 and Janitor at Relay Resources, testified about the importance of maintaining janitorial budgets to keep City facilities clean for City residents and staff, and of maintaining good union jobs.
