BYE BYE BRACE! ✌️

Happy to report that I don’t need to wear a wrist brace anymore! (I sprained it a few weeks ago) Here’s the problem… Apparently I have a cyst on my wrist now!? lol. How did that get there!? 🤷‍♀️

We've made it to the warmest 10 weeks of the year on average in Portland. The average temperature on July 5 is 80 degrees. The average high temp will peak at 84 degrees late July/early August before lowering.

I boosted high temperatures Monday a bit because high pressure looks to have gotten stronger with recent data. Tomorrow will be sunny and very warm with highs in the mid to upper-80s.

A small system passes through central and eastern Oregon, bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms, primarily in the afternoon.

America's 250th birthday has been absolutely beautiful! PDX will top out around 80° this evening. Temperatures will be in the 60s after sunset, which is cool enough to bring a light layer or blanket.

Keep in mind, even though the sunset is around 9pm, it won't be dark until about 10pm. Lows tonight will be in the 50s. Be safe and follow local burn bans!

The Northern Lights are happening now!

In the past 1-2 hours, levels jumped to a moderate/strong aurora. Head to a dark place, turn on long exposure/“night mode” on your camera, and see if you can spot it!
