🌿 More Dates Announced! Mothers’ Circle at Rhythm Seed Farm

Every other Wednesday | July 22 – September 30

Come to receive, replenish, and remember, you are not meant to do this alone.

Motherhood is a sacred journey of initiation and devotion. This circle is a space to be seen, supported, and deeply nourished, surrounded by the abundance of the garden.

Through song, grounding practices, and heartfelt connection, we’ll soften into the heart, reconnect with our bodies, and deepen our relationship with nature. Bring a song to share, or simply come as you are.

🌸 What to Expect
    •    An intimate gathering for mothers at every stage of motherhood
    •    Gentle support for both you and your children
    •    Space to rest, connect, and simply be
    •    Registration is encouraged as space is intentionally limited.
    •    Assistants will be available to help support children during the gathering.
    •    Feel free to bring a blanket or chair, sun protection, snacks, water, instruments, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable.

💚Suggested donation: $15–35, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. You may register in advance and pay at the door. Your contributions help sustain these gatherings, but the greatest gift is your presence.

All mothers are welcome. We hope you’ll join us in this sacred space of connection, care, and community. 🌿💕

Help Shape Rhythm Seed Farm’s Future 🌱

Join us for our upcoming Community Council on the farm July 27 from 6–9 PM, followed by a community hang around the fire and jam session. We’ll be visioning the next chapter of the farm, including building our strategic plan for 2027, expanding our organizational capacity, strengthening our marketing and community partnerships, and exploring other exciting opportunities for growth.

This is a chance to share your ideas, hopes, and feedback as we imagine what the future of Rhythm Seed Farm could look like together. 🌏

Invasive Weeds Removal Party @ McDaniel HS Garden - tomorrow (Weds 7/1) from 8AM-noon

As part of our work with the McRoots sustainable ag program, we are working to convert a hillside full of weeds into a food forest and native plant garden!

This will be our first work party there, laying the groundwork for many years to come. The first step is to pull out all of the thistle and blackberry that is taking over the hillside, and then to lay down burlap where we have removed the weeds.

This is going to be prickly work, so bring nice leather or thick gloves (we will have a few extras to share) and wear closed toed shoes and long pants/sleeves unless you wanna get scratched up. Luckily the weather is cool so it should be pleasant in the morning to have long sleeves on.

Park at 2833 NE 82nd Ave (park in the lot next to glenhaven park) and then walk south towards the ball fields and you’ll see the hillside next to the big greenhouse. That’s where you’ll find us!

There may be some students joining us too. Looking forward to seeing ya there 🙌🏼

Our online seed store closes July 1 as we shift our focus from seed sales to growing, harvesting, and saving seeds for next season.

If you’ve been meaning to stock up on your favorite varieties, now is the time! There is still time to plan your fall garden and stock up on seeds.

Every seed packet purchased helps support our work in seed sovereignty, climate resilience, and getting seeds into the hands of communities who need them most.

There is still time to get your summer crops in the ground, and for most of our summer varieties, we recommend sowing seeds up until the first week of July.
