Namasthe !!! Kerala Hindus of North America (KHNA)
was formed in 2001 from the far sighted vision and motivation of Late Swamiji Sathyananda Saraswathi to unite all Hindus with the goal of preserving Sanatana Dharma ["Sanatana" is a Sanskrit word that denotes that which is beginningless, endless and that which is eternal and everlasting. With its rich connotations, Dharma is not translatable to a
ny other language. Its approximate meaning is "Natural Law," or those principles of reality which are inherent in the very nature and design of the universe. Thus the term Sanatana Dharma can be roughly translated to "the natural, ancient and eternal way."]. The organization provides a platform for all Kerala Hindus in North America to get together without any social divisions of caste and creed. From a humble start in 2001, KHNA has grown to a big family of several thousands of members. Kerala Hindus of North America (KHNA) provides a common platform for all Kerala Hindus to come together, comprehend, celebrate and promote the eternal truth and teachings of Hinduism - better understanding of God and ourselves. In addition, we are constantly trying to understand and realize the universal law of cause and effect (karma) and necessity of righteous living (dharma) and pass on our vast knowledge and cultural heritage to the next generation. We conduct conventions, festivals and retreats to create forums for us to share our common concerns, to encourage active participation in activities befitting the Hindu culture, and to reinforce our cooperation in achieving our mission. We offer various charity services as described in this website. As a continental organization, we recognize the diversity of thought within the Kerala Hindu community. We celebrate this diversity and its ability to bring us to a better understanding of God and ourselves. Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavanthu.. OM
