Jazz clarinet player Dave Bennett is back on the SC4 stage February 9.

You don’t find many jazz clarinet players who name Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Chris Isaak among their influences. You won’t find many musicians who are equally conversant with the music of Benny Goodman and Roy Orbison. In fact, you may not find even one other clarinet virtuoso who breaks from his Swing Era repertoire to sing rockabilly hits while accompanying himself at the piano or electric guitar.

Vanessa Carr is a world-class entertainer, noted for her dynamic musical performances and sparks joy in the hearts of her listeners. Her ever-growing repertoire includes a diverse variety of genres: Broadway show tunes to rock n’ roll, music of The Great American Songbook to Opera, international favorites and soulful standards.

Join us in supporting SC4 theatre students in The SC4 Players theatre production of “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” by Celeste Raspanti. The play is directed by Yasmine Jaffri. Performances at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17, and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. Refreshments will be served before the Thursday performance.

About the play: Over 15,000 children passed through the gates of Terezin, a concentration camp 30 miles north of Prague. Fewer than 100 survived. "I Never Saw Another Butterfly" tells the story of the children of Terezin through the eyes of Raja Englandrova.
