Canopy Climber Tree Care
Canopy Climber Tree Care is owned and operated by Jake Carufel. We provide high quality tree care to homeowners and other businesses in Port Huron and throughout southeast Michigan.
We hear some pretty scary things from homeowners, like:
"If you need to smash that fence to get the tree down, it's fine."
Now, why would a homeowner say that? Unfortunately, due to unskilled people with saws, it’s become the culture around tree work — that things will probably get smashed when removing a large tree in a tight space.
That could NOT be further from the truth, and it should NOT be the norm. It certainly isn’t for us. We’re here to change the conversation and say:
"After we leave, you won’t even know we were here."
Every removal we perform, large or small, is safe, calculated, and controlled. For larger trees in tighter areas, we may even bring in a crane to safely lift limbs up and over your house, shed, or fence, and gently set them down in your yard to be cut up and chipped.
Don’t settle for destruction when hiring a tree service. Give us a call and we’ll explain your options!

We had the opportunity to work in a beautifully shaped mulberry tree that was hanging over the Black River. Hope you enjoy the view! The client wanted their tree deadwooded and you might be wondering- do I need to do that too!?
The answer might be yes- if you're looking to make the tree more visually pleasing, or if the dead limbs are hanging over an area you spend a lot of time, as they could suddenly drop and cause harm to your property or your loves ones. The answer could also be no- if you don't care how it looks and if it's not posing a threat, the tree actually doesn't care and will take care of it on its own over time.
If you need help deciding give us a call and we would be happy to come out and take a look, helping you evalute the safety of your tree!

FROM OUR CANOPY BLOG:
" To get to the location of the tree I needed to walk along a brick paver pathway surrounded by antique lighting, next to a massive plate glass window, down a steep and treacherous stairway, further down the steep hill and then traverse the hill to finally make it to the base of the tree which then towered 80’ above me. My first thought… “How in the hell are we going to get this wood out of here?!?!” "
