This will prevent session hijacking or data inconsistency.

If an attacker steals your session token, they can impersonate you without needing your password or MFA. Restricting concurrent sessions can make it harder for an unauthorized user to maintain access if you are already active.

On public computers (like libraries), a user might close one tab thinking they've logged out, while a duplicated tab remains open for the next person to find.
