Oak Tree Baptist Church
The Bible tell us in Proverbs 29:18; Where there is no vision the people perish .....
I have always thought that OTBC had a God given vision in building up of God's church to make it ready for Jesus' return. He has helped us at OTBC to overcome insurmountable odds,
one obstacle after another and we had the patience to listen and wait on God and for that he has blessed us in every way possible.
He will continue to do this as long as we do not become weary in well doing. The Bible tells us not to grow weary in well doing. In the epistles written by the Apostle Paul, he had some sound advice for the church. Beginning in Romans 2:1-7; 1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that
judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou
the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: When we rely totally on preference instead of principle we will lose our vision and we will perish. Not confirmed by our words but by God’s WORD! I encourage everyone to join in with us on our mission to honor and serve him in all that we do. Thank you Jesus for looking beyond our faults and offering us eternal life. When will we learn it is not about us but about him? ALL WON’T! Remember the words of Jesus in Matt 7:13-14; “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Above all things and stuff envision this and accept it as truth.
All too often it seems like when we need help from above is when we have exhausted ourselves and have no other way to turn, then we turn to God.
But let us not be disheartened but in our lack let us be encouraged. So let our hearts not be troubled for God is there even when we have ignore him and he is always there when we need him. We came into this world in need. In James 5:16 it says“ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
