After graduating BMT, Trainee O’Connell will go to Tech School where he will become a Security Forces Specialist (3P031). An important part of protecting our country is ensuring the safety of the people, property and resources on every Air Force base. To accomplish this goal, Security Forces specialists go through extensive training in law enforcement and combat tactics to protect bases both stateside and overseas. A job that’s both physically and mentally demanding, these highly focused experts do everything from writing tickets to investigating on-base incidents to make sure everyone and everything on every base is protected.

Congratulations Kaden! I look forward to hearing all about Basic Military Training once completed and to all of the great things you’ll accomplish in your career!

After graduating BMT, Trainee Douglas will go to Tech School where he will become a Targeting Analyst (1N831). Keen eyes are just as crucial on the ground as they are in the sky. It is the responsibility of the Targeting Analysts to develop and implement tactical strike solutions for anything that poses a potential threat. Our experts analyze terrains and structures to make precise strike recommendations and battle damage assessments for their commanding officers.

After graduating BMT, Trainee Erickson will go to Tech School where she will become a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) Specialist. SERE Specialists in the Air Force are highly trained professionals who prepare personnel for potential survival situations and personnel recovery operations. They are experts in teaching skills to survive, evade, resist capture, and escape, ensuring personnel can return with honor from isolating events. SERE specialists are part of the Guardian Angel weapon system and are crucial in personnel recovery efforts.
