Data Erasure can be very expensive, and it can be hard to trust the people you hire to erase your data. We can provide many Data Erasure procedures that can provide you with peace of mind; both on site, and off site. Data Overwrite
is an option that allows you to re-use, re-sell, and or recycle your existing devices, after having the data removed. We can provide the Department of Defense (DOD) 5220.22-m Standard or better depending on your needs. If Data Overwrite is not enough for you, then you can also have us follow that up by Shredding and or Smelting the Hard Drives. Recovering Overwritten Data is known as an Urban Legend. Hard Drive Perforating makes it very difficult for any data to be retrieved. Perforating hard drives with 6 or more 18.5 mm or .73 inch (or larger) holes directly into the platters, leaves less surface area to retrieve data, than most hard drive shredders, that commonly shred the platters in to 3 separate 1 inch wide peaces. Not only do the large holes in the platters make data retrieval near impossible, but the shock from the perforating process damages data all across the platters. Drive perforating can only be done off site due to laws and regulations. Hard Drive Smelting
is a process that erases data by heating Hard Drives up to over 800 degrees Fahrenheit (we prefer 1000 degrees) destroying any data left over by Data Overwrite, or by Shredding. Smelting can be done on site, but dangerous fumes from the smelter, make it preferable to smelt off site. Having your Data Smelted after Overwriting or Perforating guarantees that no one will be able to recover your data, after the process is complete. Overwriting and Perforating can not be done after Smelting the materials in a Hard Drive. Video Surveillance Verification all on site, and off site data erasure methods, offer video surveillance Verification, where we record the process and give you a video, in case any questions come up about the location of your hard drives, and if they were really erased / destroyed. We can also verify all serial numbers even of large quantities of drives for an extra fee. For Data Erasure, we can offer to provide security to protect your Data.
