During Family Services Alliance’s Celebration of Voices, we heard a little about Cpl. Clayter’s dedication to educating and inspiring colleagues to improve their care for victims of domestic violence. This is a well-deserved award, and we are grateful for partners like her who work with the many nonprofits in our city to connect those in need with vital services.
Thank you, Corporal Clayter! 👏

Happy Juneteenth!
Today we honor Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865—the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our nation's history, celebrate resilience, and recognize the ongoing contributions of Black Americans to our communities and economy.
As we observe this important day, we encourage our community to take time to learn, reflect, and support Black-owned businesses, creators, and organizations whenever possible.
If you know of a Black-owned business, entrepreneur, or organization serving Southeast Idaho, we'd love for you to share them in the comments so others can learn more and show their support.
