Five years!!

Let me catch you up a bit. . . I started my State Farm journey back in 2014 when I helped a good friend of mine as she opened her office. At the time, Jenny and I just had our 1st kiddo (Henry) and the thought of starting something new was pretty daunting. But, the opportunity to really make a difference (both for my family and in the community) was a fire that was burning in me and we decided to take a leap of faith. Heather helped coach and mentor me for over 6 years until the right opportunity to “launch” my own office came to fruition.

We officially opened the Jon Jellinger State Farm Agency 5 years ago today! (Keep in mind that this was during a global pandemic!!)

In addition to a handful of State Farm accolades, here’s a quick list of some highlights over the past 5 years:
- We’ve helped well over 2000 families with their insurance portfolios.
- We’ve sponsored 11 youth sports teams.
- We’ve held food drives.
- We’ve supported Toys for Tots, Special Olympics Minnesota and the Girl Scouts each year.
- Half the team has gotten engaged!
- One of my guys bought his 1st house!
- One of my team ushered her daughter off to out-of-state college!

Part of the journey is helping when tragedy hits. This is where the rubber meets the road and when we really get to make a difference. Being able to be there for families in those times of need is what keeps that fire burning in me.

I’ll end this post with a little gratitude. I am thankful for the support of my family, friends, customers, customers who have become friends, my team, my fellow State Farm Agents and my partners at State Farm corporate. Thank you!!!

It’s a lot of fun to look back but it’s even more exciting to look forward. The future is bright!
