If you’re reading this post, you have Radia to thank. As the creator of the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), she solved the critical issue of bridge loops, essentially providing the "traffic rules" that allow the modern Ethernet to function reliably without crashing.
Beyond STP, Radia has spent her career making network routing and security more robust, elegant, and—in her own words—simple. She’s a reminder that the best solutions are often the most logical ones.

Algorhyme

I shall never see a sight as lovely as a tree. A tree whose crucial property is loop-free connectivity. A tree which must be sure to span so packets can reach every LAN. First the root must be selected. By ID, it is elected. Least cost paths from root are left. In the tree these paths are best. A mesh is made by folks like me, then bridges find a spanning tree.
