Early Birds and Worms and Stuff 😁

Q: What is the very best time to do Senior Photos?
A: The earlier in senior year you do them, the more of the year you’ll have to USE them!

1. There are a multitude of banquets and celebrations all throughout senior year, many requiring one or more photos for slideshows and/or tables. Doing photos early will ensure that you have everything needed for all of these events

2. Reserving a yearbook tribute page for your senior? Your senior’s school may have a pretty early-in-the-school year deadline for that!

3. Thinking ahead just a little… senior photos (a print, a collage, a small album) can make a GREAT Holiday gift for grandparents, godparents, and/or other close family members or friends

4. How about Holiday cards? Use a few short minutes of your senior’s photo session to get some shots of all of your kiddos and VOILA! you’ll end up with one or more great photos for your 2021 cards!

5. The early bird gets the worm, you see!

Q: Just how early does the bird have to be… if said bird truly wants to be worry-free?!
A: In theory, there’s no time like the present… but…

It’s officially summer in DFW. Which means it’s hot and getting hotter! Best advice? Plan NOW for a session in mid-to-late September or almost any time in October to enjoy:

1. Slightly cooler average temps but still plenty of warmth to wear those cute – or very cool – outfits
2. Slightly better outdoor lighting
3. Plenty of worms still available (meaning you can get your photos in time for all the things)!

Q: But September and October are months away! Do I really need to plan right now?
A: Yes, because…

1. Time flies
2. Those early fall weeks WILL be popular
3. The early bird gets the worm (AGAIN) – this time with regards to choice dates and planning around conflicts like homecoming weekend, sports tournaments, band contests, etc.
4. Ta da!

Joe, a 2021 Senior at JJ Pearce High School, was the absolute star of his senior picture show! His wardrobe was cool, the backdrops and colors were awesome, and he was one cool character when it came to expressions and posing. It didn't hurt that he also has mad board skills. Oh and he swims. AND he's involved in theatre... plans to major in theatre in college, in fact. Is there anything he doesn't do?! One thing is for sure...

Posting my 2021 HS Seniors in fits and starts, I guess... nothing quite like a photographer's crazy, busy season! And who better to RE-start the effort with than Luke...?!

Luke is a TCA Senior and soccer star. But, boy, does he not look like a rock star? Or maybe a movie star? Could be the hair, could be the smile, but Luke really had it going on in his session... guess you could say that...

Dylan’s senior photo session was super laid-back, low-key, and casual… just the way most senior guys like it! This football star at Prestonwood Christian Academy is super tough on the field, but off the field he is calm and easy-going with a great sense of humor. The photos speak for themselves… just

It's high time (certainly PAST TIME) that I started posting some of my 2021 HS Seniors!

First up is Will, who more than lives up to his name. We did this PCA Senior's session only 6 days after he broke his collarbone and sprained his ankle in a varsity football game... and even though he couldn't raise his arm up very far, he never complained. In fact, he was a real trooper, proving that age old adage...
