Friends- Last evening, we had a wonderful experience and a most surreal feeling at the 42nd Anand Bazaar, a festive occasion celebrating India’s 72nd Independence Day. It was organized and hosted by one of Dallas’ oldest, largest and most prestigious community organizations, the India Association of North Texas.

We have attended this annual event many times before, but this time we were truly honored and humbled by the warm and friendly reception we have got, in front of an amazing audience of several thousands and some esteemed dignitaries.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the India Association of North Texas for recognizing me and Geetha for our coaching efforts, and for inviting GeoSpell Academy and our champion spellers to march in the parade alongside the Grand Marshalls: Hon’ble Congressman, Pete Sessions, and Hon’ble Dallas County Judge, Clay Jenkins.

We are also thankful to the Congressman Sessions and Judge Jenkins for spending a few of their valuable minutes with us discussing how they and their families closely follow the spelling bee every year 🙂
