🥃 Bourbon 101 – Week 5

Ever wondered what the difference is between Single Barrel and Small Batch bourbon?

Single Barrel
Each bottle comes from one specific barrel. No blending. That means every barrel can have slightly different flavors.

Small Batch
A blend of a small number of barrels chosen by the distillery to create a balanced and consistent taste.

Both styles are incredible — it just depends on whether you want unique character or balanced consistency.

🥃 BOURBON 101 – Week 3

Let’s talk about “Small Batch.”

It sounds exclusive… but what does it actually mean?

Small batch bourbon is created by blending a limited number of barrels together to achieve a specific flavor profile.

Here’s the twist — there’s no strict legal definition for how many barrels make it “small.”

So it’s more about the blending strategy than the size.

Small batch doesn’t automatically mean rare or premium — it means intentionally blended.

🥃 BOURBON 101 – Week 2
What’s a mash bill?

It’s simply the grain recipe used to make bourbon.

All bourbon must contain at least 51% corn —
but the other grains (like rye or wheat) completely change the flavor.

🌽 High Corn = sweeter & smooth
🌶 High Rye = bold & spicy
🍞 Wheated = soft & mellow

Same category. Totally different taste.
