As a teacher/tutor, I am doing my job if a student becomes so confident they don’t really need me anymore. Emma and her family joined All the Write Colors in 3rd grade and she’s now going into middle school next year with enough confidence to fly on her own! It’s bittersweet to say goodbye for now, but she knows I’ll be here for spot checks if she needs it.

This was a whole family effort and I couldn’t have made the progress with Emma without her parents’ support and positive reinforcements at home. Thanks also to an excellent educational evaluation from .dallas , where Kat’s comprehensive data informed us on the right supports to help Emma thrive.

There are a lot of academic programs out there who only see the external issues rather than work to understand what’s really going on cognitively and emotionally with a child. Without understanding these invisible factors, “fixing” academic issues will often harm a child’s confidence as they will become hard on themselves. My biggest takeaway from working with Emma is we never put her in a lockstep program to “fix” things. Every week, I checked in on her emotional and cognitive state before determining how to teach her. I truly believe that adapting to Emma’s personality is what accelerated her academic progress. I feel confident that Emma now truly believes she is ALL THE WRITE COLORS! 🌈

Join me in congratulating Emma on all her hard work and bright future ahead!

Always here for you, sweet Emma.
Love, Ms. Katharine 💗🥹✏️

Here’s a fun handwriting story I made up to help kids write lowercase letters more clearly. Once in a while, I’ll discover that a spelling error was actually a handwriting error. So maybe they meant to write a G (get) but they wrote a Y (yet) instead because they didn’t close the top.

Grandpa G and Alex A can fix this little handwriting problem for your child/student! It’s hard to fix handwriting habits, but I have found results when I add a little bit of humor and give a good reason. To me, it works faster than handwriting tracing worksheets.
