The Town of Plainfield Small Business Crisis Response Grant committee awarded $17,500 of grants to local, small businesses this afternoon! This totals an amount of $60,000 in Small Business Crisis Response Grant dollars awarded.

The Town of Plainfield and Main Street Plainfield Indiana awarded grants to the following businesses:

• Schakolad Chocolate Factory - Westside Indy - $2,500
• Studio 51 - $2,500
• Plainfield Nails & Spa - $2,500
• Bed Bath & Biscuits - $2,500
• Super 8/Clarion Pointe - $2,500
• Timber City Coffee Roasters - $2,500
• Jared Wade Entertainment - $2,500

The Town of Plainfield established a budget of $75,000 for the Plainfield Small Business Crisis Response Grant Program, which is a part of a bigger $340,000 COVID-19 Small Business Economic Response Plan. Main Street Plainfield Indiana also contributed financial support to businesses who fall within their district.
This is the second round of grants, and the committee will continue reviewing applications on a first-come first-serve basis.

The committee meets every Friday to review the completed grants and will continue meeting until the funds run out.
