Light of Life Rescue Mission
We transform lives through the love of Christ. www.lightoflife.org
True rest is more than a place to sleep. It's the beginning of complete restoration. At Sisters House, women in our long-term programs find a safe place to rest, recover, and rebuild their lives. π©·

Recently, one of our team members unexpectedly ran into a former shelter guest at from our shelter at a coffee house. The man shared how grateful he was for the staff who cared for him during his time of homelessness.
Today, he is living in his own apartment, attending church, and building a stable future. π
It's a special gift when we hear the success of those who spent nights in our shelter. Thank you for being part of these stories of hope. π

The children in our shelter and programs have been loving these handmade crochet animals and cozy quilted blankets that were generously donated.
These thoughtful gifts are bringing comfort and joy, serving as a reminder that someone cares. Thank you for stitching so much love into every piece.
We are so grateful for everyone who uses their unique talents and time to help our neighbors in need.

William's story continues as he enters a new role supporting those in recovery.ππ
We're excited to share William's next chapter with those of you who have been following his journey with us.
Last fall, William graduated from our long-term program after experiencing a life-changing transformation. After spending decades caught in cycles of addiction and incarceration, he found hope, healing, and a new purpose. Since graduating, he has faithfully served on our custodial team at Light of Life, continuing to invest in the community that invested in him.
This week, William begins a new role providing direct peer support to individuals in recovery at another organization in Pittsburgh.
"This is a full circle moment for me," William shared. "My recovery started at Light of Life, and now they have helped me become the man I am today that can help others on the same path I once walked."
Watching William grow into someone who now helps others navigate the road he once walked is a powerful reminder that transformation doesn't stop at graduation.
William, thank you for the compassion, humility, and encouragement you've brought to Light of Life. We are incredibly proud of you and can't wait to see the impact you'll make as you walk alongside others on their recovery journey. We're cheering you on every step of the way. π
