Week 3 of Animated Arias!
Every Monday until August we are revealing another Point Park student creation paired with an aria sung by a Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist singer. This video was set to a rendition of Don Jose's "flower song" from Bizet's 'Carmen', sung by former Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist Daniel O'Hearn. The video was created by Lily Haverly, Astryd Hopkins, and Gale Whewell.

Great news for the National Opera House!
Pittsburgh's historic Black opera house gets big restoration grant The historic home of the National Negro Opera House has received a $1.75 million Mellon Foundation grant toward its restoration.
