ARYSE
ARYSE supports immigrant and refugee youth to become prepared, engaged, and confident members of the Greater Pittsburgh community. The signature program of ARYSE is Pittsburgh Refugee Youth Summer Enrichment (PRYSE) Academy, a three-week summer program led by high school and college students for refugee and immigrant youth that combines academic classes, creative expression workshops, and civic engagement.
Allow us to (re)introduce ourselves!😎Introducing our 2026 PRYSE Academy senior and junior counselor cohort!
This year’s cohort is made up of 13 senior counselors and 16 junior counselors to lead our classrooms and support our students during PRYSE Academy. We are proud to share that 7 of the 13 senior counselors were enrolled in ARYSE programming, and 4 of our junior counselors were members of our 25-26 Youth Steering Committee.
This cohort cannot wait to meet you, our students, on MONDAY, and support you as you learn, explore, and have fun at our 14th PRYSE Academy. See you on Monday!🥰

Today is start of our PRYSE Academy 2026 staff training which means it’s time we introduce you to our Co-Directors for this summer: Leah, Megan, and Sayed!🤗
Leah, Megan, and Sayed started working with us the second week of May and instantly got to work getting to know one another and the work we do at ARYSE. We are so happy to have Sayed, Meg, and Leah with us for PRYSE Academy 2026!
Over the next 2 weeks the trio will lead our junior and senior counselor training and support this cohort throughout the summer in managing daily tasks and essential needs, as well as ensuring PRYSE Academy is a welcoming and supportive space for all staff and students.
We are so excited for everyone to meet them this summer!🥰
