Amplify Production

We just finished a full tech renovation of our Family Room, and the goal was simple:
No remotes. No headaches. Just a room that knows how to work.

This space now runs on five TVs, multiple audio zones, and our own control platform AmpSYS, all tied together through one wall-mounted tablet. From that tablet you can power the whole room—lights, lamps, sources, audio, everything—without bouncing between ten different remotes or systems.

Staff can even access the room from their phone, with deeper visibility into what’s happening in real time. If a TV goes offline or a volume zone gets weird, we can fix it from anywhere in the building without interrupting service.

The whole room runs independently off its own mini-rack:
• Network switch for all in-room gear
• Video matrix for switching between our broadcast feed + Apple TV
• Audio matrix with three fully independent zones (mains, overheads, nursing room)

And the best part? We built this for half the cost of a big-name automation quote by using open-source tools like Home Assistant. It let us integrate video, audio, lighting, and power into one simple, stable workflow with custom automations and scripts built for our church’s needs.

I wanted the whole thing to feel locked in—hits lining up tight with drums, accents following the groove, and movement that supports the energy without getting distracting.

Colors and palettes are pulled straight from the song’s album art, so the look stays true to the vibe of the track. Little details like matching color shifts to section changes go a long way in keeping the room engaged and helping the moment feel intentional.
