Yall showed UP and showed OUt with those donations for this community. So far we were able to raise enough to fix a little over half of that cat colony.

We fixed 10 on Monday for that colony, with another 12 from around Pickens County SC. Total of 2️⃣2️⃣ cats were fixed and vaccinated yesterday for a happier, healthier life! Yay!

Help us to continue helping our community in need.

🐾 Help Us TNR Community Cats 🐾

Kitten season is here, and the number of homeless cats in our area continues to grow. We are working hard to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) community cats to stop the cycle of suffering and overpopulation — but we urgently need help covering the costs.

Every cat we trap needs:
🐱 Spay/neuter surgery
🐱 Vaccinations
🐱 Food and recovery care

TNR saves lives, prevents countless unwanted litters, and improves the health and safety of the cats and the community.

We are asking for donations of any amount to help us continue this important work. Even $10 or $20 can make a huge difference toward one cat’s care.

Donations can be sent to:

If you’re unable to donate, please share this post to help us reach more people who care about animals. ❤️

Thank you for helping us give these cats a better life and reduce suffering one cat at a time. 🐾

Help us, help them live a happier healthier life.

Something I love doing, is spending my day off helping the community with cat food. I spend almost every Saturday, my only day off, delivering food to people who have reached out.
I have also helped several other rescues with food and that make me happy. That makes the cats happy.

We are here for it, to help. But of course, our biggest goal is to fix and vaccinate as many community colony cats as we can. And we need the help of our community to do that. Every dollar makes a difference.

I say this all the time! But this is a good read.

Feed for what you have, not for what you think might come!

🐱 The "Secret Weapon" of TNVR That Only Works Under One Condition… 🛑

Did you know that community cats actually have their own built-in security system?
Once a colony is fixed through TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return), those spayed and neutered cats will actively keep unaltered strays away because they are fiercely protective over their food supply.
But there’s a massive catch. (No pun intended! 😉)

🍽️ The Math of the Food Bowl
It all comes down to a wildlife concept called Carrying Capacity—which basically means an environment can only support as many animals as there are resources for - food being one.

Scenario A:
You have 10 fixed cats. You put out food for 10 cats. They will guard that food like gold and chase newcomers away.

Scenario B:
You have 10 fixed cats, but you dump out a giant bag of food meant for 20. Guess what? You just invited 10 new neighbors to the party.

🏠 The "Friendly Cat" Trap
As rescuers, we love "pulling friendlies" from colonies to get them adopted into loving homes. It’s wonderful! But if you take 5 friendly cats out of a 10-cat colony... you must cut the food supply in half.

If you keep putting out the same amount of food for those remaining 5 cats, the environment's carrying capacity is left wide open. New, unaltered cats will move in to fill the gap. This is another way the vacuum effect happens. (We will discuss both carrying capacity and the vacuum effect in detail later)

💡 The Takeaway
It is a million times easier to manage a colony and fix one or two stragglers as they pop up than it is to start from scratch because an overfilled food bowl attracted a whole new colony.
Want to keep your colony stable? Match the food to the fixed felines! 🐾👇

This is what happens when colony cats are not fixed. They just keep reproducing. She was trapped yesterday and ended up giving birth before she could make it to clinic today.
Momma and babies are doing fine and thank goodness for other rescues, they were so nice to take them in and give them a safe place to stay.

🐈‍⬛ So this is a perfect time to talk about a couple things. Our mission has always been and will always be to TNR community colony cats!
🐈 We do not take in any cats or kittens. We trap, fix, vaccinate, and return back to their colonies!
🐈‍⬛ We are here to help the situation before it becomes a problem. Or becomes a bigger problem.

We do not charge a fee for what we do, although there is a cost for the clinic. But that is where the donations come in play, we use all donations to help with the cost. No colony is too small or too big! One cat fixed is better than no cats fixed.

So please reach out, or if you would like to sponsor a spay/neuter.
