We had a fantastic time hosting our annual educator workshops at Pittcon HQ! 🙌

From hands-on spectroscopy activities for younger students to advanced software tools and lab simulations for high school classrooms, it was all about giving teachers practical, engaging ways to connect students with science. 🔬💻

And of course, sending everyone home with tools, materials, and ideas they can use right away.

The Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh’s K-8 Science Educator Award Committee is delighted to announce that the committee has selected Erin Borland as the recipient of the prestigious K-8 Science Educator of the Year award for the 2025-26 academic year. Erin will be honored at the annual Awards Banquet in May. The committee extends its congratulations to Erin, who exemplifies excellence in science teaching.
