Dietetic Program at CCAC

Our interns this summer are tasked with a theme event for the staff, residents, patients, or visitors at their locations.

*Below, Sienna Cochran completed her theme meal at Caring Heights with a delicious Herb baked chicken, wild rice, vegetable medley, and a mini vanilla custard with berry sauce. She had the dining room decorated and ready for the facilities residents.

*Next, Crystal Lakatos created a theme staff picnic at UPMC Mercy with all the favorites including hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and fresh fruits.

*Finally, Victoria Veron offered a food tasting at UPMC Presby for their Wellness Wednesday. Staff, patients, and visitors tried edamame hummus and featured peaches as the fruit of the month.

🥑Dietetics student, Lori Rupp, put together a nutrition table at a community wellness event hosted by UPMC Northwest hospital.

🍎She discussed healthy food options, incorporating fresh produce with meals, and provided smoothie sampling to all those who were in attendance!
