In His Arms

Hello my name is Samantha Burris. I'm 19 years old from Pennsylvania. I was raised Baptist my whole life. I was only child for 10 years before my sister was born. Then in the next two years my mom has two more children. I stated rebelling at a young age, I had jealousy problems. I started cutting myself, getting angry, dealing in witchcraft, doing drugs, and giving myself away just to feel alive. I was sent to mental hospitals, a girls home for 9 months, then another program for three years. Every time I went back with my parents it never worked.
I wanted to live my own life. I was trying to make everyone else happy, but in reality I was dying inside. I was always playing with my salvation, saying I was saved to please my parents. But I really got saved 10 months ago, and also 10 months ago is when Jesus delivered me from drugs and cutting. The last program I was at for only 5 months, I left early and went back home with my parents and for months things didn't work out. Then I had the opportunity at In His Arms home. When I got here I was anorexic but God delivered me. Being here, I have been blessed.
Getting closer to God, I'm able to hear God's voice more clearly. I've been receiving many prophetic words. Being here, I've been able to speak about some things I've never told anyone about and it feels so good to get things off my chest and receive some inner healing. No matter what I've been through God has helped me get through it. This place is helping me grow and become the woman that God wants me to be.
