With a goal to create educational programming for communities that are in need and looking for resources, PLC is planting seeds in the greater Pittsburgh area in order to grow with the community. There's a FREE health fair on Saturday, February 26 from 11 - 3. UPMC is hosting this fair out of the Christian Church of Wilkinsburg at 748 Wallace Avenue. It will include screens for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, bone density, as well as consultations over medications with a physician and a pharmacist. Free rides to Magee Hospital for a mammogram will also be provided.

Are you a teen who wants help applying for a summer job with Learn and Earn? We are holding an event tomorrow, Friday May 21st 4-6pm, to help with applications. Come by our outdoor playground at Community Forge (1256 Franklin Ave) in Wilkinsburg and we will scan your paperwork and help with any other questions.

Wilkinsburg Clean-Up day is happening tomorrow, Saturday May 15th 8am - 1pm. The events of the day begin with 8am with a welcome by Council and continental breakfast, distribution of free gloves, garbage bags and vests from PennDOT. At 12:30pm people will meet at Penn Avenue Park for a celebratory lunch of hotdogs, chips and drinks along with great conversation with community folks.
