Celebritarian's Narrative Arc:
Act I — Origin (Tracks 1–6). "Video Games" through "Summer Us." Coming-of-age. Wounded but hopeful. Major keys. The artist arrives, tries to fall in love, tries to be okay. "Won't you marry me today? I know we're young, but love looks good on us."
Act II — The Crack (Tracks 7–12). "The Art of Trying Anyway" through "Drink The Kool-Aid." The cracks show. "I'm not the saint you want to save." Bad relationships, addiction metaphors, the truth-as-goodbye. Track 11 (Brimstone) is the first hint of devil imagery — "fire, brimstone… you're an angel, baby, broken and fallen." Track 12 (Drink The Kool-Aid) is the literal invitation that the Tempter will arrive to extend in 4:3.
Act III — The Tempter Arrives (Track 13: 4:3). Mid-album. "What did he do with Aaron Goldschlager? Now only time will reveal his future." This is the structural pivot — the record's exact midpoint and key inflection point. Aaron dies. POPDEVIL is born.
Act IV — Fame Becomes The Monster (Tracks 14–19). "Death of The Artist" (interlude/jingle — the funeral) through "Sold Out W***e." The post-transformation chaos. Track 14 is literally only 14 characters of transcribed lyric — "[outro jingle]" — because the artist is dead. Tracks 15 (Take Me to Your Leader), 16 (i-CON), 17 (Bible Drag), 18 (Hollywood Deathwish), 19 (Sold Out W***e) form the Hollywood arc — fame consumes him. Iconography hardens. "I drank the Kool-Aid, I became a star." Closes with the prophecy: "If I claim to be a prophet, would you put me on your TV?"
Act V — The Reckoning (Tracks 20–22). POPDEVIL → Swallow The Dream → Celebritarian. The crowd's complicity becomes the subject. "You made me, made me, made me this way. Chase the shine, then you hate what you made." Then "Swallow The Dream" — the dead-click cathedral, the algorithmic religion. Then the title track: "You made this scar. You made this star. You fed the flame, then sold the dark. Celebrity scar, that's what you are."
