Friends and music lovers, most of you have heard us speak on stage about our conviction that jazz music is inherently . We can no longer square that conviction with continued participation in platforms owned by Mǝtą, a company which operates in open collusion with the sitting f@scist administration.

No single specific incident has motivated this decision, but the entire history of the company has trended continually toward a pro-M@G@ stance supporting right wing populism. We have come to accept that continued use of this technology stands in direct contradiction with our goals and beliefs as musicians, as American patriots, and as moral human beings.

We can all work together to build a better America, but that starts by withdrawing support from the institutions that are actively working against the interests of egalitarianism, social progress, and freedom from coercive hierarchies. While we understand departing from these platforms may make it more difficult to access our audiences, we feel strongly that if our activism costs us nothing, it is worth nothing.

Starting tomorrow, January 13th, the DJANGO JAMS at the Storyville Lounge will be held every other Tuesday, we are no longer rotating between Tuesdays and Wednesdays as we did last year. Hope to see many of you there! Here's to another wonderful year of studying Djangology together in Pittsburgh!
