Thailand violated the ceasefire by arresting 20 Cambodian soldiers (and shooting two to the ground, it is not known whether they were alive or dead) under the pretext of asking to shake hands and take photos with them. Thailand’s actions violated the KL ceasefire and international law, the 1949 Geneva Conventions, which relate to the treatment of prisoners of war. Cambodia must gather evidence to prosecute Thailand for war crimes.
