Family heirlooms: come in many forms and can be from your given or chosen family - a scarf or pocket square given to you by a dear friend, favorite aunt, or uncle pairing down their collection. A ring or cufflinks a parent or grandparent is passing along.

Treasures from your Travels: When visiting a new city or town and exploring small business districts, pay attention to what you are drawn to. Maybe it’s a handmade necklace found in the boutique at a gallery. Or a t-shirt from a vintage store that sparks nostalgia.

Shop Local: Are there any local artists you admire? There is so much talent and cool pop-up events around town with local makers, vintage dealers, and designers.

If your closet feels a little too neutral, a little too safe, or a little too forgettable, this is often the missing spark.
