June is Immigrant Heritage Month. As an immigrant and naturalized US citizen, I know firsthand the promise of the American Dream. My parents and I came to the US when I was just an infant, and I'm so grateful for all this great country has made possible for me and my family.

As summer begins, fishing and boating is a great way to enjoy our region’s many wonderful waterways. I encourage everyone to safely take advantage of the many such opportunities in our area.
