These Studstix reel holders came in just in time to start wiring this house.
Not sponsored or affiliated with them at all — just thought it was a pretty smart setup for keeping wire organized during a rough-in. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up through the project. ⚡️
⚡️ Electrician opinion here…
I’m not saying separate disconnects and meter bases are wrong at all, and I’ve installed services that way myself.
But when approved meter/main combos are available, I personally prefer the cleaner and more streamlined look.
This isn’t about criticizing anyone’s work.
Both methods can work perfectly fine.
I just think details, presentation, and sourcing the best option for the customer matter when possible.
Curious what other electricians think on this on
Fishing liquid tight up to these pillar lights felt more like playing snake charmer than electrical work 😂🐍
This is one of those parts of the job people never really see — carefully routing conduit and wiring through finished landscaping and tight spaces without damaging anything.
Definitely one of those “looks easier on video” moments.
Pool projects are some of my favorite jobs because the transformation is incredible.
This project started with trenching, conduit installation, bonding, and equipment wiring. After the inspections were complete and everything was energized, the homeowner was left with a backyard they’ll enjoy for years to come.
A lot of work happens behind the scenes that most people never see, but that’s what ensures the installation is safe, reliable, and built to last.
