Meet John Persad (she/her) — a one-of-a-kind creation by the talented youth of our Transtastix group!

Proudly displayed in our lobby this month, John Persad is a monumental expression of trans pride, imagination, and self-discovery. Crafted from paper mâché, tin foil, fabric, tape, acrylic paint, glitter, and cardboard, she brings together inspiration from cats, insects, and extraterrestrials to create something entirely unique.

For the teens who created her, John Persad represents the journey of exploring and expressing their identities. She is a celebration of creativity, authenticity, and the freedom to become who you are.

We hope John Persad inspires everyone who meets her to embrace their individuality and explore their identity to the fullest. 🏳️‍⚧️

For more info about our Transtastix group for ages 14-17, email [email protected]. The group meets Wednesdays at 6 PM at Persad. Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be receiving services at Persad to attend.
