On May 25, 2024, Phoenix Fitness Gym opened its doors with a mission: to create a safe, affirming space where trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals could pursue their fitness goals without fear or judgment. Two years later, we've built more than a gym—we've built a community. 💪🏳️‍⚧️

At Persad Center, we understand that wellness is multifaceted. That's why we offer a range of trans-affirming services, including mental health counseling, support groups, and substance use treatment, all designed to support you in every aspect of your journey.

We are proud to celebrate this milestone as we continue to uplift and empower our Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming community.

Today, the cast of City Theatre's Hedwig and the Angry Inch paid a visit with our Persad OWLS. Treasure Treasure (Hedwig) and Theo Allyn (Yitzhak), shared stories about stepping into these unforgettable characters and exploring the show’s themes of identity, resilience, belonging, and self-expression.

The conversation, facilitated by our own Ted Hoover, was thoughtful, heartfelt, and full of laughs. It was a reminder of how theater creates connection across generations and experiences.
