🇺🇸✨️ Happy 250th Birthday, USA!

This weekend, we celebrated freedom, liberty, and the American spirit of showing up for others.

At DTCare, that spirit starts at home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the same state where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and reaches neighbors around the world in Ukraine, Lebanon, Africa, and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
— Emma Lazarus, “The New Colossus”

Here’s to helping when help is needed most, and continuing to care for our neighbors, near and far.

More than volleyball—this was where confidence, teamwork, and new friendships grew. 🏐✨

DTCare's 4th Annual MOVEMENT Volleyball Summer Camp took place in Vlašić, Bosnia & Herzegovina, bringing together girls from diverse communities across the country through our “Unification Through Sport” initiative.

Three teams from Kakanj, Doboj, and Novi Travnik participated in professional volleyball training led by experienced coaches and mentors from BiH and the USA, including representatives of the Jericho Foundation. But the event went far beyond the court. Girls also joined workshops on leadership, mentorship, mental health, digital safety, inclusivity, and future career opportunities in science, psychology, and healthcare.

With the support of H.E. Damijan Sedar, Ambassador of Slovenia, and the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, this year’s camp continued to promote unity, empathy, personal growth, and stronger connections among young people across Bosnia & Herzegovina while also highlighting the beauty of Mount Vlašić and Travnik.
