We provide backpacks filled with shelf-stable food and drinks for eligible students to take home over weekends and extended holidays. Panda Packs is a supplemental food program designed to meet the nutritional needs of students whose families are suffering from economic hardship. Each week during the school year, volunteers pack backpacks with easy-to-prepare food items and drinks. The Panda Packs are then distributed to eligible children to take home over the weekend.

It takes a lot of community support to make sure our Pandas have the food they need each weekend. From CORA Food Pantry enabling a large and greatly needed bulk order and including a significant donation of food as well to a surprise donation from another food pantry with food to share to the monthly generosity of neighbors, we are all working together to feed our kids.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Thanksgiving food drive! Your generosity helped us fill Thanksgiving food bags for all of our Panda Packs families. We will even be able to send home holiday food bags at winter break too. Thank you!

This past week we distributed 55 Panda Packs to students in need. Thank you to the awesome volunteers making it happen!
With the increased demand for Panda Packs this year, we would be very thankful for any donations of kid-friendly, shelf-stable food. If you would like to donate, there is a donation box in the PES office.

We made the first Panda Pack delivery of the the 2021-22 school year this week. However, we were so busy packing and distributing the 51 bags that we forgot to get a picture. Instead, here is a picture of some of the donations that went into this week's bags thanks to wonderful neighbors in Powell Place who donate to Panda Packs each month.
