Carolina Tiger Rescue not only provides a forever home for exotic animals in need, we educate the public on how every day we can make a difference for wild cats in captivity and in the wild. We fight for the day when these beautiful creatures are no longer exploited by humans.
📦 Why do we give enrichment? Wild tigers certainly aren’t playing with painted boxes. Wild tigers, however, have to worry about things like hunting, patrolling their territory and raising cubs. The lack of this stimulus gives captive animals time to feel bored. Since our animals can’t be released into the wild, we give them enrichment to encourage natural behaviors and keep them engaged.

🎨 Our big cats aren’t the only animals that enjoy making Pawcassos. Bud Coati likes rubbing scent enrichment into his fur. This behavior is called self-anointing.
