TISP provides a forum for IEEE volunteers to learn how to provide professional development sessions to pre-university teachers in their local communities. Once trained, volunteers work closely with teachers to bring the application of engineering, science and technology concepts into their classroom using exciting, low-cost, hands-on engineering activities! TISP VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
S.K. Ramesh, Chair of the IEEE Pre-University Education Coordinating Committee, is in our TISP Volunteer Spotlight this month. For those of you who haven’t yet been fortunate enough to meet Ramesh, you will enjoy learning about him in this article taken from the latest issue of the EA Insight Newsletter.
Did you know that IEEE Educational Activities publishes an online magazine intended to inspire students ages 14-18 to learn more about engineering, technology, and computing, and raise excitement about careers in these disciplines?
We most certainly do! The e-zine is titled IEEE Spark – check out the latest issue which focuses on animation at spark.ieee.org!

Have you conducted any TISP professional development sessions for teachers in your local area? If you have, we want to hear all about them. Even if the events weren't recent, we're still interested in the details. Please send us the event date, number of teachers who attended, hands-on activities demonstrated and the key volunteer's name.
For any future events, please remember to have your participants complete the attached feedback form immediately following the session and email copies to [email protected]. We will be sure to include the feedback in our program metrics.
