Lots of folks out enjoying the river today. Please be safe when you are out. The water is still 41°. I'm still wearing neoprene pants/shorts, a neoprene shirt, and neoprene boots when out paddling.

If you're interested in becoming a better paddler, I will be teaching an intro to kayaking class on August 18 from 6 PM to 8 PM. You can sign up through the Oahe YMCA and we will meet in the parking area between the American Legion and Steamboat Park (in Pierre, SD). The cost is $15 per person and participants are required to supply their own kayak, paddle, and life jacket. Class size is limited to 5 paddlers.

This is a great opportunity to learn from an American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructor.
