Violet Township sold the northern portion of Violet Woods (formerly the Wigwam) to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for the construction of an outpatient facility. As part of the agreement, the township must make infrastructure improvements including the addition of a roundabout near the lodge.

As National Work Zone Awareness Week rolls on, we have some staggering statistics for you. Of the 4,435 crashes in Ohio work zones last year, 34 percent occurred with workers present. Sadly, 21 people were killed in 17 deadly work zone crashes. Another 96 work zone crashes resulted in serious injuries.
