Had an 'moment' with my kids while picking fruit this morning. As I go up and down the ladder, move it around under the tree to get a better look, a new look at where the fruit might be hiding and how I can best reach it, I thought, and proceed to tell my kids, picking fruit is like life, "You need to change your perspective sometimes, you can't always see what is right in front of you unless you change your point of view." My 10 year old ignored me, but my 13 year old thought about it and said he could relate. Phew....
Had two late season fruit picking jobs this week. We can still pick, even in the summer as long as we are out early in the morning.
