🚨 PRESS RELEASE: Republicans Reject Chance to Give Arizona Voters Clear, Nonpartisan Ballot Language
“Arizona voters deserve honesty, not confusion. The language voters see on their ballots should clearly explain what these measures would do, not obscure their consequences. Today’s hearing was another missed opportunity to put transparency ahead of politics.” - Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan
🚨 Big wins happen when leaders listen:
Today, Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan joined Governor Hobbs, House Democrats, advocates, and community leaders to celebrate the nation’s toughest 3-year moratorium on new data center tax giveaways.
When we put Arizona families first, we deliver. 💪🌵

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday this Fourth of July, we honor the ideals that have shaped our nation: freedom, democracy, opportunity, and the diversity that makes us stronger.
This historic milestone is both a celebration of how far we’ve come and a reminder that our freedoms are never guaranteed. Together, we must continue protecting the rights, liberties, and democratic values that define our country so every American has the freedom to thrive.
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

🚨 PRESS RELEASE: Arizona Senate Democrats Applaud Those Who Worked to Submit More Than 420,000 Signatures to Bring ESA Accountability Before Voters
“For years, Democrats, educators, and parents warned that the ESA program was a blank check that lacked meaningful oversight, and Republicans ignored us all. Today’s milestone proves that nearly half a million Arizonans believe that the dollars provided by this program should come with the expectation that taxpayer dollars support students, not a system with too few safeguards and too little transparency.” - Sen. Eva Diaz, Ranking Democrat on the Senate Education Committee.

Thirteen years ago today, Arizona lost 19 heroes in the Yarnell Hill Fire. The Granite Mountain Hotshots made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their community, and their courage continues to inspire our state.
Today, that remembrance carries even greater weight as we mourn the loss of Arizona firefighter Nick Hutchinson, who gave his life battling a wildfire in Colorado while protecting others.
We honor the Granite Mountain Hotshots, Nick Hutchinson, and every firefighter who answers the call knowing the risks. Their bravery, selflessness, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️

🚨 Republicans called it a win for classrooms.
➡️ School leaders called it unworkable.
🛑 Democrats warned this referral ignored how schools actually operate and would punish small and rural districts with impossible constitutional mandates.
🤷🏽♂️ Now Republicans are seeing the consequences of rushing bad policy and we’re fighting to fix it.
