Shoebox Ministry

Dear Volunteers, Donors, Homeless Agencies and friends of Shoebox Ministry,

I started Shoebox Ministry back in 1988 in an attempt to help the homeless in their struggle to rise above homelessness by providing toiletry grooming kits.

Since our beginning, many of you have come along to join our mission. I'm grateful to all of you who have become a part of our history by sharing your time and talents, including the many who served as Board members over the years. Your dedication served us well.

We're also grateful to the many agencies that came to us requesting our toiletry kits for those you house and serve. Our goals were the same, to help the less fortunate. Jesus said in Mathew 25:40 I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers, you did for me.

Since the pandemic we have struggled to keep Shoebox out of the red. After much consideration, the Board has decided to merge with Andre House. They were one of the first agencies that we gave kits to. Since then, they have been a vital partner throughout our 37
years of service to the Valley’s homeless.

Within weeks we will be clearing out our office and transferring all of our inventory to Andre House. We hope you will continue to support Shoebox Ministry and Andre House with your donations of toiletries and financial support

Homeless Matters is another group similar to Shoebox that makes toiletry kits for the homeless agencies. They are near Cactus and 90th Street. They would welcome your donations also. Their contact information and that of Andre House are below.

This one is a little late but definitely want to thank NCL Sonoran Centennial who had a sock and hygiene drive for Shoebox.

They did an amazing job. We at Shoebox want to thank and celebrate all they do for us. Lori Keever just dropped off what they collected.
